Patient information is extremely important and some form of printed material should be given to all patients, usually at the time of pre-operative assessment. All patients should be given a copy of our pacemaker leaflet which contains basic do's and dont's and patients who have a new implant/upgrade should be given the relevant Arrhythmia Alliance booklet or, if having a subcutaneous ICD, our leaflet plus information from Cameron Health.
